Dr. Muhammed Erkan Karabekmez received his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering from Boğaziçi University and also holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law at Istanbul University. He is currently a faculty member in the Department of Bioengineering at Istanbul Medeniyet University. He was a visiting researcher at Brigham and Women’s Hospital for one year, contributing to interdisciplinary biomedical research. Dr. Karabekmez is the founder of the biotechnology startup Mikrobat and conducts research in bioinformatics and computational biology, with a focus on data-driven approaches for advancing precision health technologies.
